Our Very First Tree!!

For the last 2 months I've been sooo excited about getting our first Christmas tree! I kept saying "we have to go get one as soon as Thanksgiving is over!" So of course, as soon as Thanksgiving was over, we went to get one! We had a lot of fun picking one out and decorating it. We couldn't be too picky because we have a really low ceiling, so we picked the best one we could find out of the little ones. It's not soaking up any water and it kinda looks dry, so hopefully it will hang on! I love the Christmas season and I'm so excited it is here! We're so excited to spend our first Christmas together and be in our little apartment. We can't go too crazy obviously but we're just excited to spend it together. We're so grateful for so many things, especially this year. We've learned a lot about appreciating the things we have and we definitely do appreciate all that we have.

We found the one!

UPDATES!!

So I'm terrible at updates I know.....but I only like updating when I have a picture to go with it, and I don't have pictures! So I am sad but it's been a long time so I figured I better. Ty and I are back to CHAOS since my last post! He is now going to school and working full time. The poor guy is exhausted!!! He leaves when it's dark and get's home when it's dark. I'm working now as well so we don't see each other much but I'm told it's all worth it one day. I've finished school FINALLY, and am just getting ready to take my state tests next week, wish me luck!!! Once I pass my state tests I'll start working at the salon! It will be fun to have a good balance between the two jobs. I'll be working about 25 hours a week at both jobs so we'll see how long I can handle 50 hours a week!!!! I just really want to dive into the salon so I can get a clientele built up. The faster I have my clientele, the faster I can quit my other job....obviously. So we're just really working hard at getting some money saved up so we can work on getting a house! We're excited to have a place of our own, it'll be really fun. We're still not sure where we'll end up though!! I love South Carolina, but we'll see...we might all just have to be surprised! Oh yeah, and Ty has this new thing for HGTV. It's kinda cute :) He's so excited to have a house and use all his fun ideas he's collecting from HG! It's our new favorite. On weekends when we get to just sit and relax and most people would watch a movie....we watch HGTV!! So anyway....we're doing great! I am so grateful for Ty and his commitment and hard work! He NEVER complains. I wish he would sometimes. He's a hard worker and is so dedicated to reaching the goals that he and I have set. I'm just enjoying every minute of life. I love Ty VERY VERY much and can't believe we've almost been married 9 months!!!!!!!!! Time flies!

Happy Birthday Jack!!!!!

This past saturday, my nephew Jack turned 3!!! I can't believe it. He's growing up so fast. He is such an active little guy and is talking sooo well! He says the cutest little things. We love him so much and are so blessed to have such a sweet little angel in our family. Happy Birthday Jack!!! Amanda always has such a cute birthday party for him. This year the theme was bugs. He was so worried about the balloons at the beginning and didn't want them to blow away so they had to put them in. He was so excited for all the gifts and to have everyone there. It was so fun to get together and celebrate!

Labor Day Weekend at the Ranch!!

We went up to my mom and Kelly's place in Idaho for labor day weekend. We spent Saturday in Lava at the pool and then went down the river. I didn't get any pictures of the pool :( but it was really fun. Bryan went off the top platform 3 times I think. Ty went with him once. Ty and I went off the middle one and that was enough for me. I'm a whimp now! I used to go off them all when I was little, I don't know what happened to me. They have new speed slides that look fun from the bottom, but once I got to the top it didn't look fun at all. I thought I was going to have a panic attack or faint up there, so I wussed out and went back down. The sad thing is my mom went. When we had enough of the pool, we went to float down the river. It was pretty fun. Cold, but fun! Then we just had a relaxing weekend at the ranch. We hung out and played games and went to church up there and had a camp fire. It's really pretty and calm up there. We love going as much as we can!

Bye Summer!!!!!

As much as I would love to say I'm sad to see summer go....I just can't!!! I'm very excited for summer to go away and fall to come. I'm so excited for fall for lots of reasons. First, I HATE the heat. Second, I hate that I've been sitting in school every single day while everyone else is getting a tan ( I know I'm a brat.) Third, I'm just excited to finish up school and work again. I HATE not working. I don't regret quitting my job, but I do feel terrible not working, Most important, fall just brings back so many amazing memories. Ty and I fell in love last fall and this time of year will always remind me of coming home from Hawaii and being unseperable from the day I got home.

Although I'm a complainer, we did have a few fun moments this summer!

First of all, we sold the purple Blazer!!! Not that we didn't like it, but it was a gas hog and we got money out of it while we could! We downsized to an old green worn out Honda. It's sure not a looker, but it gets awesome gas mileage, so we're not complaining!

We went on a little ride on Kent and Gaylene's scooter...not that eventful usually, but this time we went in way west farmington, and there were millions of bugs. Ty got one in his mouth so he went to spit it out and what do you know...his spit landed right on my face! So the rest of the way home, I had spit on my face, plus bugs getting stuck to the spit! We got a good laugh out of that one :)

We also went to the Hilton family cabin in Scofield for a weekend getaway. I love it up there. It's so pretty and calm. We got there a little later in the evening, but the sun wasn't all the way down so we decided we'd take a quick dive in the lake. Well, of course my clever husband thought it would be hilarious if he pretended he was going to jump off the dock with me. So, he held my hand and ran with me the whole way, well till the end of the dock, then he pushed me into the FREEZING lake! Gotta love him!

We also went up to my parent's ranch/house in Grace Idaho a couple times. We love it up there as well. Just a few weekends ago we went to the rodeo up there. I'm a people watcher, and there's sure some good people watchin' up there!! It was a really fun weekend. We even survived a carnival ride...but barely. Those things are not meant for grown adults. I had some bruises for a couple weeks, but it's okay, I laughed the whole time!

But the most exciting thing is that we moved into our apartment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a little basement apartment with 2 bedrooms. It's the perfect size for us and it's right on main street in Farmington. We could not ask for anything more perfect! Well, a dishwasher would be nice, but we'll survive! We seriously love it there soooo much and we're just enjoying life! I have absolutely nothing to complain about. I have an amazing husband who loves me and never complains. I love him so much and am so grateful for him and how supportive he is of me, and for how hard he is working at work and school.

Bye bye Blazer!
The bugs and spit stuck to my face, yum!

Getting ready to jump into the lake together...so cute!

Where's Ty??

Happy Mother's Day!

Yesterday was a great day!  Even though it gets very chaotic trying to get to see everyone, we love it.  I'm so grateful to have 2 great mother's in my life.  My mom is the most amazing woman.  She has always been my best friend and is always there for me no matter what.  She's always been the one I go to to cry on her shoulder, she's always supported me 110% in everything that I do.  She has taught me so much and words cannot describe how much I love her and how grateful I am for her.  I am so blessed to have Gaylene as my mother in law.  We have a pretty unique relationship.  She was my Young Women's leader from the time I was 14, till I was 18.  I have learned so much from her.  She is a very strong woman and one of the things I admire most about her, is when she gets her mind set to something, she never loses sight and she accomplishes everything she sets a goal for.  She doesn't worry about what anyone else thinks, and she loves her family more than anything in the world.  Ty and I are so very blessed to have such great women in our lives that raised us so well and always taught us right from wrong and when we didn't chose the right, they still loved us.  We love you, mom's!!  I also have to mention my grandma, Marilyn Hilton.  I can't even think about how much I love her without crying.  I am a cry baby and I get it from her.  This woman is so incredible.  I can't even begin to count how many times I've run to her when I had no idea where else to turn.  She has such a warm and loving heart.  She would do anything for any member of her family.  She's not just my grandma, but one of my best friends.  She has a very special place in my heart and always will.  Love you more grandma!  xoxo

Davi Anne

I've been thinking a lot lately about how lucky I am to have one of my best friends as my sister in law.  I have had a special place in my heart for Davi for a long time.  Before Ty left on his mission, Davi came everywhere with us.  First of all, I don't know many brothers that let their little sister come with them everywhere they go.  Second of all, she never annoyed me.  We have so much fun together...never a dull moment with the two of us.  I remember one of the very first times I hung out with Ty after he got home from his mission and I got home from Hawaii, Davi came up to us and said, "are you guys going to get married?"  Kinda awkward...no one knew what to say, but luckily Gaylene got after her.  That girl has had her fair share of awkward questions/moments.  But she always means well.  She told me the other day, she always knew Ty and I would get married, before we even knew it!  I love her so much and I'm so grateful to have such a good relationship with her.

Women's Conference.

I went to Women's conference with my mom, Gaylene (my mother in law) and some of our friends from the stake, and Gaylene's good friend Cheryl.  It was my first time going, and took LOTS of convincing on their part, to get me to go.  Okay, actually begging and nagging.  It was finals week so I hadn't seen Ty at all the last week and didn't really want to leave him.  Finally, the night before I decided I would go even though I got a pit in my stomach every time I thought about leaving my lover!  It was a very good experience though.  I felt the spirit so many times, learned a lot, and had a lot of fun with the girls.  We went to the Bombay House, I have to admit, it was not my favorite!  But it was way fun to get out!  All in all, I'm glad I went and I had a good time, besides getting made fun of the whole time for missing my husband!
